Paramount Skydance Will Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are anticipated, with the company planning to reveal all specifics during its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.

Earlier reports had indicated the company aimed to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

Until December 2024, the company employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
