Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim admits he cannot hide from his disappointing statistics and believes it is expected that Old Trafford legends are criticizing him.
Earlier this week, the club's all-time goalscorer Wayne Rooney told his podcast that "the heart has disappeared" from his old club.
The Portuguese manager has managed just 18 victories from his 49 matches in control, featuring nine out of thirty-three in the English top flight, where he has yet to secure back-to-back successive wins.
Although senior Old Trafford sources are insistent that the club owner remains behind Amorim, failure to defeat newly promoted their next opponents on Saturday will trigger new speculation about his role heading into the upcoming two-week pause in domestic football.
"This is understandable," stated the Portuguese coach, when asked about the former striker's remarks. "You cannot hide from the performance."
