Ex-Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is reportedly "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he attempts a re-entry to Formula 1, per the Aston Martin team chief executive officer Andy Cowell.

Aston Martin is included in the teams that are associated with the ex-boss.

The Aston Martin CEO stated he had verified the situation with team principal Lawrence Stroll on Friday at the Singapore GP.

"It looks as though Christian is ringing up pretty much every team owner at the moment," stated the executive.

"I can unequivocally confirm there are no plans for the engagement of Christian in an management or financial position in the future."

Haas chief Ayao Komatsu revealed that Horner had "approached" the Stateside organization but noted: "No progress has been made. The matter is closed."

The French manufacturer executive director Steve Nielsen revealed the squad's senior consultant and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "long-standing acquaintances" with the former principal.

The team official commented: "I don't know what they converse about. Everything I know is there are no intentions for Christian to arrive at Alpine but this doesn't imply it couldn't occur."

The Grove-based squad boss James Vowles confirmed that Horner had not approached them.

"We're quite satisfied with the structure we have and it's working," the team principal said. "There's no cause to modify it."

Horner is eligible to rejoin grand prix racing by the mid-next season after finalising a severance package with his former team on 22 September.

The 51-year-old was let go as Red Bull's chief after the British GP in the month of July.

Various insiders at Red Bull have revealed the agreement deal was valued at 60 million euros (£52m).
