One ranking policeman who rushed to the help of a partner that got attacked by a knifeman was granted the Royal Recognition for Valor.

Sgt Tim Ansell fought with 27-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he held a knife to the neck of his partner Sgt Marc Foster.
