Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft hovering near a popular California shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Recordings shared on social media capture the helicopter starting to spin over the beach then falling towards the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a staircase near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders stated five people were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the crash on that day.
Three people on the road were hurt. Information on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
